The Role

We know a good developer isn’t a jack of all trades, and we aren’t looking for someone who knows everything. We are looking for a back-end developer with a wealth of knowledge in their field. We work with dozens of clients, all of whom have varying needs, therefore we require developers with different skill sets.

Back end developers should ideally have skills/knowledge in most of the following:

• Linux administration (especially CentOS).
• Apache web server administration.
• TCP / IP networking, HTTP / HTTPS protocols.
• Git, or other version control.
• MySQL database administration.
• SQL queries and database optimisation.
• Automated + unit testing.
• Laravel application development.
• PHP8.
• WordPress theme development (bespoke themes from scratch, modifications to existing themes).

We are looking for someone with:

• A love of clean and elegant code – less is more!
• An eye for attractive and user-friendly design.
• Attention to detail.
• A keen interest in emerging web technologies.
• A thirst for knowledge and desire to always be improving.

Peacehaven is only a short drive from Brighton and there is ample free parking available. Alternatively, there are direct buses dropping off (literally) on our doorstep from Brighton and Eastbourne.
